How it works

  1. Bring three numbers

Your average invoice by job type, your rough gross margin on each, and what you spent on marketing last quarter. Estimates are fine for the first call.

  2. See your cost per booked job

We work out what each booked furnace, heat pump, repair or tune-up is costing you today, and what it is allowed to cost given the profit it leaves behind.

  3. Decide with real numbers in front of you

You get a written plan with spend, targets and what we will report each month. Call, text or email; you'll talk to a senior strategist.

Most HVAC marketing reports answer the wrong question. They tell you how many people clicked, called or filled your inbox, but not whether the work they booked made money. HVACProfit.ca starts from the other end: what each type of job leaves you in gross profit, what you can afford to pay to book it, and how much of next year's profit is already secured through maintenance agreements.

The three numbers that decide whether marketing works

Marketing pays when the gross profit from the jobs it books is clearly larger than what it costs to book them. Three numbers tell you whether that is happening, and most owners only track the first one loosely.

  1. Job value by type. Not one blended average, but separate figures for replacements, repairs, maintenance visits and add-ons such as humidifiers or filtration.
  2. Cost per booked job. Marketing spend divided by the jobs that actually reached the schedule. A lead that never books is a cost, not a result.
  3. Recurring members. How many households pay you every year through a maintenance agreement, and how many of them renew.

Here is a simple check you can run tonight. Suppose a furnace replacement brings in $7,400 and leaves 35% gross margin, about $2,590. If you are willing to spend a fifth of that to win the job, your ceiling is roughly $518 per sold replacement. Close 40% of the in-home quotes you run and your ceiling per booked quote is about $207. If your current campaigns cost $260 per booked quote, the problem is now a number you can see and fix. Our job-value maths service builds these ceilings for every job type you sell.

Not an agency that counts clicks, and not an accountant

We are a marketing and business coaching service. We plan and run the marketing that brings in calls and booked jobs, and we coach owners on how to judge it in profit terms. We are not an HVAC contractor. The only work we do is on your marketing and your numbers, so we will never quote against you or service one of your customers.

We are also not an accounting firm. The margins in our plans come from your books or your accountant, and questions about tax, financial statements or how to cost labour belong with them. What we bring is the marketing side of the equation: which campaigns book which jobs, and at what cost.

Five ways we work on profit

Each service has its own page, and the services overview explains where to start.

Proof from our HVAC work

Our published results all come from HVAC and heating companies. HVACDeal.ca produced 500+ leads at a 12:1 ROI. CombiBoiler.ca reached 300% ROI with 300+ monthly leads. CanroHeat.ca recorded 250% lead growth, and GasBoilers.ca, a gas-boiler division built for CANRO Heat, serves 26+ BC communities. The results page explains what each one shows about profit, not just volume, and what an owner elsewhere can reasonably take from it.

Every province and territory, with local maths

The profit picture changes across the map. Alberta and Saskatchewan homes lean heavily on natural gas, most Quebec homes heat with electricity, and in Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island oil and heat pumps share the market. That changes your job mix, your busy months and the rebate programs customers ask about. The areas we serve hub links to a page for each region, with programs and regulators as of October 2026.

Who is behind HVACProfit.ca

HVACProfit.ca is part of the Sedighi.ca and SAZ.ca group of companies. It is a Canadian business, headquartered in Vancouver, British Columbia, and led by Ali Sedighi, MBA in Technology Management, who has 17+ years in digital marketing since 2007 and has built 150+ live HVAC websites. It sits within the HVAC.Agency family of services for heating and cooling companies.

Read how we work, see plans and pricing, or start with our guide to calculating cost per booked job. When you are ready, call, text or email and bring your numbers. Rough figures are fine; the first conversation is about finding out which of your job types are carrying the business and which ones your marketing is quietly overpaying for.

Frequently asked questions

What is HVACProfit.ca?

HVACProfit.ca is a Canadian digital marketing and business coaching service for HVAC and heating companies. It belongs to the Sedighi.ca and SAZ.ca group, runs from Vancouver, BC, and is led by Ali Sedighi, MBA.

Are you an HVAC contractor or an accounting firm?

Neither. HVACProfit.ca has no technicians and no trucks, and it never installs, repairs or services anything. We also do not give accounting, tax or financial advice; we use the margin numbers you or your accountant provide to plan and judge marketing.

What does cost per booked job mean?

It is your marketing spend for a period divided by the number of jobs that actually landed on the schedule from that marketing. It sits between cost per lead, which flatters weak campaigns, and cost per sold job, which is what finally matters for replacements.

Why do maintenance agreements matter so much for profit?

A member who renews pays you a fee every year, fills your shoulder-season schedule and usually calls you first when something breaks. Marketing that grows and keeps members builds profit that does not have to be bought again each winter.

How much does it cost?

Monthly plans start at $2,998, and websites start at $3,500 one-time, in Canadian dollars plus GST/HST based on your province (GST and QST in Quebec). You start with a 7-day free trial; no card, no lock-in.

Can you promise a lower cost per booked job?

No one honestly can. We can show you the maths, set targets you agree with, and report against them every month so you can see whether the plan is working and stop if it is not.
